Gallery Terms and Conditions


Exhibiting works of art in the Gallery on the Wolds at Wolds Village is subject to the following conditions:
  1. The gallery reserves the right to refuse, for any reason, permission to exhibit work.
2.       A non-refundable hanging fee must be paid at the  time of booking to secure display space.
3.       Supervision of the gallery is provided during opening hours & the gallery is protected by a fully comprehensive burglar alarm system at all other times. Insurance protection is not provided for any item exhibited & cover must be arranged by the artist if required.
4.       The transportation of exhibits to & from the gallery, & the cost of such transportation, is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor.
5.       No responsibility can be accepted by Wolds Village for any damage incurred to exhibits whilst on the premises.
6.       Exhibits may only be hung, removed & sold by the gallery staff.
7.       All items presented for exhibition must be fully assembled, sealed & ready to hang with suitable wire or cord. Any item considered incomplete or unsafe will not be displayed. (In accordance with NNDC Health & Safety Guidelines)
8.       Each piece of art work should be clearly priced & labelled. Pricing must include 30% commission which will be deducted by Wolds Village. Once the gallery has received your work, our staff will label & price the piece in a uniform manner. A list of all your work must be submitted  when you bring your work. An artists statement should be provided to hang with your work.
9.       The gallery provides exhibition space for original works of art. Reproductions & prints are not accepted.
10.    Artists intending to share a display area must inform the gallery of the fact.
11.    The gallery reserves the right to sell an exhibit at the lowest marked price.
12.    A 30% sales commission will be charged on all sales from the gallery. This commission will include any credit card & administration handling charges. Please be aware of this charge when pricing art works.
13.    Proceeds from sales will be payable to the exhibitor at the end of the display period and should be collected from hotel reception at this time.
14.    In exceptional circumstances, the gallery reserves the right to allocate to the artist a different display area to the one originally booked.
15.    All exhibits must be delivered to the gallery at least 2 days before the session begins & then must be collected within 5 days of the session ending.
16.    Storage space cannot be made available for exhibits without prior agreement with the gallery. A charge will be made for any exhibits that remain uncollected.
17.    The gallery assumes that, once a hanging fee has been received, the exhibitor is fully aware of all the conditions as stated above.
18.    The Gallery may be closed for private functions or classes on occasion, a list of these times will be viewable on our website

To book a session, in the first instance, please contact Sally at sally@woldsvillage.co.uk, with pictures of your work & times when you are interested in booking. Once we have agreed on the booking, please complete the booking form & forward the hanging fee to secure the booking

Open exhibitions require  a maximum of 2 pieces of work, a £10 fee is payable plus 25% commission on any sales, details & entry forms are sent out prior to the exhibition
